Bamber Bridge Res  1 - 0  Workington Reserves

Tue 16th September

Reds' Reserves came unstuck in their Lancashire League fixture at Bamber Bridge on Tuesday conceding the only goal of the game after 70 minutes.

'Brig' emerged worthy 5-3 winners at Borough Park last month but Reds were the better side in the return at Irongate.

They dominated for long periods but were guilty of squandering a host of opportunities in front of goal.

First team squad members, Andrew Hardman and Phil McLuckie, played the full ninety minutes and welcomed some much needed game time.

The Reserves don't have a game next week but the Youth team will take centre stage on Tuesday when they entertain Ashton Town at Borough Park (7pm) in the First Round Qualifying of The FA Youth Cup Sponsored by E.ON

Team:  Matthew Mahoney, Matthew Brown, Greg Mitchell (Brian Rutherford 78), Craig Johnston (Jnr), Ryan Birbeck, Lee McCullough (Martin Coulthard 72), Phil McLuckie, Mickey Sewell, Andrew Hardman, Adam Main, Will Heeney (Gareth Brunton 70).  Subs:  All used.
