Kick It Out is football's anti-racism campaign.

The brand name of the campaign - Let's Kick Racism Out of Football - was established in 1993.

Kick It Out works throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge racism and work for positive change.

The One Game, One Community initiative is one of the most prominent equality and community engagement initiatives in the country and has a strong community focus and plays a role in celebrating diversity and inclusion.

On Saturday 18th October students from Victoria Primary School in Workington in partnership with The Lakes College, Cumbria Police, Workington AFC and AWAZ a BME support group in Cumbria attended the Blue Square North fixture between Workington AFC and Tamworth FC.

Prior to the game the children distributed leaflets and Kick it Out stickers to the spectators.

Organiser PC Eric Field of West Cumbria Police Community Safety team said "It’s a great way to drive home the message of respect and that racist behaviour is not acceptable. All the partners involved in the project have been very keen to get involved and show their commitment to the message that racism will not be tolerated".

Workington Reds manager Darren Edmondson said "As a club we are committed to supporting the Respect message and if we can help reinforce the anti racism message at the same time then we are only to willing to get involved in the community and projects like this".
