Early start for Reds
Reds will make an early start to pre-season when they travel to Dumfries at the end of June for a match against Scottish League One outfit, Queen of the South.
The game against Peter Murphy’s side will be Reds’ first appearance at Palmerston since 1982, although Reds Reserves have played there quite often in recent years.
That will be followed a few days later with the annual charity game at Whitehaven before Darren Edmondson takes Reds to Penrith for a run-out against his former team.
The fourth game arranged, so far, will be a maiden visit from Lowland League, Caledonian Braves who are based near Motherwell. They have just concluded a successful campaign by finishing in a commendable third position in their league.
