Prep underway
Preparations for the 2025-26 season are underway with incoming manager, Darren Edmondson, and his backroom staff meeting the Reds’ directors to plan the way forward.
It will be a very busy summer for Edmondson and his staff as they start to rebuild the squad for next season, just as the dust settles on the ’24-25 campaign.
The first task will be to review the budget and talk to members of the squad who represented the club last term. As always, there will be comings and goings with several players expected to explore other options.
Edmondson was named as Mark Fell’s successor last Friday and has already started discussions with members of the squad that finished 12th in the NPL Premier Division table.
According to chairman, Phil Norman, the budget will be similar to last season so Edmondson will have to utilise that to the best of his ability and changes to the group will be inevitable.
The squad will report back in late June, ready for the new season which gets underway on 9 August.
