Reds 0 Storm Eowyn 1
As West Cumbria was battered with 80mph winds today the challenges of running the club were ramped up somewhat by significant storm damage to the Popular Side roof.
The sheets had been seen lifting by club staff from early this morning and they were forced to stand helpless as Storm Eowyn peaked around lunchtime.
The inevitable came early in the afternoon as a large area of the front section of roofing finally peeled away leaving officials with a significant and no doubt costly problem ahead of next week’s home game with Stockton Town.

If there is any positive in this, at least we aren’t at home tomorrow.
Whilst it is too early to say what the next steps are, suffice to say some repairs will be necessary before we do play at home.
The Board are waiting for the weather to improve before inspecting the damage and putting a plan in place.
There is no doubt we will need some volunteer help next week so if you are able to give any time please let us know.
