CLUB NEWS: Sad passing of former Chairman

It is with profound sadness that we report the passing of former Workington AFC chairman, Dale Brotherton.  He was 54.

Dale had been associated with the club for over thirty years – a hands-on role until 2007 and as a regular supporter since.

He became the youngest chairman in the club’s history, taking over the role in his early thirties, and spending six years in the post.  In addition, he also spent several years as club secretary.

Dale attended numerous games this season, both home and away.

We send our condolences to his wife, Nicki, their three children and his extended circle of friends and associates.
